This piece was written for a good friend in Berkeley, NSW Australia in 2003. The three verses are four-line stanzas of a sonnet describing the relationship of the believer with Christ, while the refrain is the final two-line prayer:

Now available in an SAB edition, this 2010 cantata includes four brand-new choral pieces, two choral arrangements of familiar Christmas hymns, and narrated piano solos that shine new light on some old tunes.
In this arrangement, the traditional harmonies are kept for choir and congregation to sing together, while a bit of counterpoint in the piano provides energy between verses. It was arranged as a part of the 2010 Christmas cantata Come and Behold Him. This sheet music is an excerpt from the full cantata score; measure and page numbers correspond with the full score.
