Philip Paul Bliss’s gorgeous hymn Brightly Beams our Father’s Mercy describes the Christian obligation to reflect the Savior’s light and help others find Him. This a cappella arrangement offers engaging, approachable variations on the theme of the basic men’s choir version in the LDS hymnal. This arrangement was written for an upcoming conference of the Greeley, Colorado Stake.

Philip Paul Bliss’s gorgeous hymn Brightly Beams our Father’s Mercy describes the Christian obligation to reflect the Savior’s light and help others find Him.  This new arrangement is simple enough to be sung by youth choirs, but it is beautiful and interesting enough for experienced choirs to use in Sunday meetings or special conferences.  This arrangement was written for an upcoming conference of the Greeley, Colorado Stake.

The Spotlight Song

Children’s voices and piano

For several years, I played the piano for Primary every Sunday, where I get to hang out with kids ages 3 to 11.  When I was a kid in Primary, they had a “child of the month” or “child of the week” or “star child” or something, which was basically a way to help the kids get to know each other.  In our ward, we now do a similar activity called the Spotlight.
