This setting of A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief was written in 2011 for use in a conference. I wrote it for performance by two of my most influential musical mentors: my father sang, and my grandfather accompanied him on the piano.
2-part chorus (flexible) with piano and violin duet
Philip Paul Bliss’s gorgeous hymn Brightly Beams our Father’s Mercy describes the Christian obligation to reflect the Savior’s light and help others find Him. This new arrangement is simple enough to be sung by youth choirs, but it is beautiful and interesting enough for experienced choirs to use in Sunday meetings or special conferences. This arrangement was written for an upcoming conference of the Greeley, Colorado Stake.
