Ave Verum Corpus

Ave Verum Corpus is an ancient Eucharistic text which has been set by some of the greatest composers in history, including Mozart, Byrd, and Saint-Saëns.  This new setting by Nathan Howe for unaccompanied voices utilizes text painting and beautiful transitions to create an advanced but approachable choral piece.

Sheet music is available for SATB, SSAA, and TTBB, and is distributed through MusicSpoke.

Lift Me Up, Lord Jesus

Vocal Solo with Piano

Lift Me Up, Lord Jesus

An elegant and thoughtful solo about repentance, Lift Me Up, Lord Jesus was written for a 2003 fireside and received an Award of Distinction in the 2014 Church Music Submissions.

It was performed beautifully in the 2014 Fall Church Music Festival by Katie Bastian. (I do not own the recording – it is freely available on LDS.org, and a link is provided for your convenience.)

Written in a similar harmonic language to the extremely popular Infant Holy, Infant Lowly, this new arrangement of the Wexford Carol is a beautiful choice for SATB choir. The beautiful ancient Irish tune, combined with a gorgeous, introspective piano part, make this a memorable selection for church and community choirs.
