A New Look and New Arrangements

As I’ve been working through the transition to a new visual format, I’ve also tied up a few loose ends, and the result has been a couple of new files available on NathanHoweMusic.com.

First, a few reasons for the changes.  Most of the content has remained the same, but the look of the website has been changed for better speed, greater clarity in navigation, and optimized viewing on mobile devices.  I’m also happy to part with some of the uglier elements of the previous design.

You might notice that almost every piece now has a thumbnail image and a sound player, which will help visitors to find and evaluate music more easily.

Along with the formatting cleanup, I also added a few things I’ve been meaning to post.  First, a vocal solo adaptation of Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing.  This is based on the choral version previously published on this site.

Second, to help with Easter preparations, I have released two new arrangements of Resurrection Hymn: a hymnal-style version and an SATB choral version.  Since there are many versions of this piece, and since it’s very popular for Easter, here is the complete listing:

Finally, for you school choral directors out there, don’t forget to check out A Social Madrigal, a great secular SAB piece just published by Shawnee Press.  It’s just right for a middle school or lower-level high school choir.

As always, let me know how I can help you with more great music for the future.

Best,
Nate
