SATB (SAATBB) Choir with Piano or Organ
A beautiful standard in many Christian hymnals, Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing is presented here in a dignified yet modern arrangement. A similar vocal solo arrangement is available here.
This arrangement is based on an arrangement by Nathan Howe for the missionary farewell of his good friend Thom Quist in 2001. The piano part is moderately difficult, but it does double the voices when they divide into six parts, making adaptation for a quartet possible.
This piece was originally published through Grate Music in 2007. It is reprinted here because a visitor to the site asked about it (thanks, Shelli!). If there is a specific piece you are seeking, feel free to use the contact page or leave a comment.

This is my favorite arrangement of Come, Thou Fount. Thank you for your generosity and your talent. We are singing it at my father’s funeral on Tuesday.
Marilyn, I am sorry for your loss, and I thank you for using my arrangement in your father’s memory.
Hi Nate, we used this arrangement for our Relief Society meeting last weekend (which was a little difficult because it was only women but we made it work) and we are using it again for our ward choir in May. Everyone loves it, especially the piano! It is beautiful!
Susan, thank you so much for using my music! Hopefully I’ll have a new choral piece posted within the next two weeks. Stay tuned.
Hi Nathan. This is the most gorgeous arrangement!!! We want to sing it substituting the words to another LDS hymn called Joseph Smith’s First Prayer. It feels like it’s going to work perfectly. (if we can figure out how to sub the right lyrics haha)
Sounds good! I would love to hear your adaptation once you work it up. Thank you for the kind words.
The best arrangement!! Nathan and I performed this as a zone for our mission President you could feel the spirit from your head to your toes! Great job buddy keep making great music! Just heard it performed again in our ward. Brought back a rush of emotion!
