Come to the Mountain of the Lord

SATB, a cappella or with piano or organ

screenshot.8

This hymn was written by Nathan Howe in the week from August 15 to August 22, 2006. Designed to encourage appreciation of the Temple, it was composed in response to a challenge from David Macfarlane.

The PDF melody with guitar chords was created in response to a request from a site visitor (see the comments below).  The chords are not the same as the SATB version, so the guitar part is not compatible with the choral version of this hymn.

  1. I love the music and lyrics to Come to the Mountain of the Lord.

I am interested in chords for guitar and ukelele for our Girls camp in August this year. Is it possible to locate I have searched an not able to find yet.

    Thanks for your help.

    1. Disclaimer: I am not a guitarist. I’ve written out a page with the melody line and guitar chords. The chords are not all the same as the ones in the SATB score, because the original harmonies are simply too difficult for most guitarists. If you find errors (including chords that would just make more sense with a different fingering), let me know. I’d love to hear how it turns out for you.

      Best,
      Nate
